Pig Valves
As “pig valve” is different technology than the conventional pigging, it’s a simple valve designed especially for pig launching and receiving. It has its advantages as listed below
- Reduces emissions of greenhouses gases during venting of barrels in line with latest objectives of Oil & Gas companies to reduce gas emissions
- Reduces CAPEX the requirement of field infrastructure, decreases field construction time, reduces the space requirement for the pigging arrangement.
- Can be installed for old lines where earlier conventional pigging was not installed.
- Functionally simple design minimizes training and maintenance costs.
- Enhance the safety for operating personnel. Removing the possibilities of HSE incidents (pigging operators standing on the line of fire and kit by the pressured pig or receiver door) which has occurred in many fields. In addition to reduce the risk by the reduction of pigging technician required in the crew.
