Mr. Sunder George

Chairman

Mr. Sunder George is a distinguished leader with a rich background in international banking. He holds an MBA from IMD Switzerland and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London. His career-long dedication to Oman was recognized in 2001 when he was granted Omani citizenship—a rare privilege for foreign nationals.

His career spans over three decades at Bank Muscat, where he served as the Deputy Chief Executive. Under his leadership, Bank Muscat grew to become the nation’s largest bank. He retired from his executive role in 2012 but continues to lend his expertise as a member of the Board of Directors at Bank Muscat SAOG and several other prestigious listed companies.

Mr. George is renowned for his respected stature in Oman’s financial and business sectors. His deep knowledge and experience makes him an invaluable asset to our team.

Mrs. Prabha

CEO & Managing Director

Mrs. Prabha Seethapathy, is the Founder, Investor, Chief Executive Officer, and Managing Director of Petrostar Corporation LLC, with a distinguished educational background. She is a gold medalist from Madras University and holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Scotland. In addition, Prabha has studied Management at Harvard Business School where she is also an alumna.

A seasoned business leader at her core, Prabha serves as the visionary and driving force behind Petrostar Corporation. Fondly refered as the “Iron Lady” by her Principles, she prioritzes timely and high quality deliverables. With a wealth of experience in the oil and gas industry, Prabha has spearheaded the introduction of innovative products and solutions that have significantly optimized costs for gas pipes and various projects.

Inspired by Oman’s Vision 2040, Prabha dedicates herself to the nation-building process, in her own humble way by intergrating our company’s vision and business development endeavors with the National Goals.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Prabha is a devoted spiritual seeker, finding balance and guidance through Meditation and Self-awareness practices that hold a central place in her life. These practices deeply influence her approach to leadership and management, fostering a balanced and mindful perspective that resonates throughout her professional endeavors.

Technical Consultant

Mr. Nasser Al Bahlani, a highly respected expert in the Oil & Gas industry, specializes in Materials & Corrosion. With 3 decades of experience at PDO, where he led the materials and corrosion department, he brings unparalleled expertise. His specialties include material engineering, material selection, material testing, material integrity evaluation, corrosion management, pipeline integrity, quality management, plant inspection, audits, welding, and NDT. Mr. Nasser expertly guides our Operations Team through challenges, leveraging his profound knowledge and strategic insight.

Our Team

PetroStar’s Operation, Admin & Finance Team consists of skilled professionals with extensive experience in the Energy sector, covering disciplines like Materials, Corrosion, Mechanical, NDT, Quality, and Coating. This dedicated team, with the company since its inception, ensures stability and deep institutional knowledge. They excel in local and international technical standards and procurement processes. The Finance & Administration Team maintains strong ethical foundations, ensuring financial stability and providing timely information for decision-making.
