Visco Elastic tapes: upto 70 deg C
Visco Elastic Tape for the Pipeline Anticorrosion is a non-cure, cold applied corrosion prevention wrap adhering extremely well to the plant coating PE, PP, FBE and irregular equipment such as flanges, valves, pipe fittings, rings, manhole etc.
Visco-elastic tape can cold flow into all irregularities of the substrate and self-healing of the complete coating system.
- Service Temperature Range: -45°C ~ +70°C.
- The surface should be clean and dry, free from oil, grease and loose dust. All mill scale is to be removed.
- Recommended application temperature of between +5°C and +45°C.
- Surface temperature to be 3°C above dew point.
- Surface preparation to minimum St 2 / SSPC SP 2. A roughness profile is not required.
- Degrease with Isopropanol or MEK/ACETONE. Do NOT use thinners.

- External damages for pipeline such as dents, gouges, fretting.
- Internal metal loss due to corrosion or erosion (or a combination of both), maybe identified after pigging pipeline, which may or may not be leaking, and there is a need to restore integrity of pipeline and enhance pipeline life.
